This came originally without the lamp shade off Ebay and after finding a suitable glass shade that did not break the bank and I do not believe its an original to this model, it looked like this: UNLIT LIGHTED Ron
Nice work Ron! Nothing brings people to a camp site picnic table like a lamp. A deck of cards and drinks are key. I have had many great times playing cards with friends in the middle of nowhere on some island in the north because of these lamps. Glad to see you here Ron! Best regards, Jeff
Thanks Jeff. This is JUST one coleman lamp I wanted that runs on KERO. Am trying to work around just having to use one fuel that is commonly available. Ron
Hey Neil, I could not read the date stamp at the bottom as the paint is too thick to read and dare not scrape the whole bottom. I also wanted to preserve whatever remains of the decal so I took a chance and bought Krylon Clear Acrylic and gave it two coatings. Thankfully the decal did not react to the acetone that was in the spray. Very lovely shine and protection for the fount. Ron
Thanks guys. I light it up once in a while. One thing about the colemans are that they work fine even after 30 or so something years with nary a hesitation. Ron
I just bought a 129 on eBay this evening. I hope to have it fettled and fitted as nice as yours before winter is really upon us. Piper
