Coleman 222A Easi-Lite bent needle

Hi Folks,

Wondering if the needle from this generator is the problem? Can it be fixed or is there anything wrong with it?

You can try straighten the needle.
Sometimes it works.

 

is that possible? And how? It looks so fine.

 

You need round nose pliers for this.
And carefully squeeze, flatten the bends.
You must not tie at the tip.

 

I use watchmakers tweezers.

 

Well thank you for your suggestions. I will give it a whirl.

 

I've bent them straight using a worn jet. Not really ever the same though.
