    Hi fellas, the other week I posted about my AL21 that the glass shattered. Thank to a lead from @Anthony , about the borosilicate lenses on eBay. Nothing to lose, so I followed up on them and aquired 1-175mm it cost a little bit I’m impressed and I think it is worth it. My AL21 is back in action I’m very happy with it, thank you Anthony for sharing, as an alternative I recommend them

    @Darryl Durdin
    Is it real proper fresnel optic?
    Or just a circular rilled glass ??

    @bp4willi , it is a Fresnel optic. I light output is quite strong and directed. The reflector is poor inside so most of the directional lighting comes from the lense.
    I have an old rail way kerosene wick lamp it has a similar lense. Not that it shows a lot of bright red light but when you look at it in-line from a distance you can see it very clearly.
