    Great picture with your Tilley enjoying your AVan.
    I have one of similar vintage, mines a 1998 job in excellent condition.
    Like you I’m going camping soon for about 10 days, my mates will be in their tents and I’ll be snug in my AVan :D/

    Better people than I will be able to give you more accurate info. What I can say is, early 1950s Tilley 246. The model before it is also called the 246 but has a square edged tank, often called the pork pie. The model after this, again called the 246 and dating from the later 50s, looks very similar except for the way the bail attaches to the cage. You can’t see this detail in the photo because of the flare.

    It's model X246. @Yorkie have a look in the Lamp Reference Library and compare model X246 with X246A and X246B.
