September 1935 Coleman 129

Small kerosene burning lamp. No pre-heat cup on this one as I run white gas in mine. The globe is a clear aftermarket that I blasted a rising sun logo on. Also a cheapy aftermarket shade as well. Thanks for looking

Question: one of the reference site for manufacture dates says after 1931 they went to a two digit year. I have a model 129 that is 6 on the left and 7 on the right. So this is a 1936 not 1926? Great pictures by the way.

 

@Bamasotan correct 1936 on your 129. Coleman Canada used a double digit year stamp as soon as they started dating them, whereas Coleman US would not start using the double digit year stamp until the late 40's.

 

So my nickel barn lamp Quiklites are also 1930’s? Number stamped on side below the logo.

 

@Bamasotan CQ lamps? Sounds like it, majority of those will be from the 20's occasionally they pop up in the very early 30's
