I have one of these beautiful Max Sievert APH blowlamps which I'm working on.
The 'Stoves sister site' doesn't seem to cover blowlamps hence this post.
APH means that it runs on 'Benzoline' which is basically petrol yes?

I've been looking for lighting instructions for it with little success... plenty of youtube vids but none specifying lighting procedure. Most seem to pre-heat as you would a Kero version.
I wonder what the advantages are of using petrol as opposed to Kerosine...
(Maybe it's so you can suck some fuel out of your SAAB if you can't get kero?)
    ;-)

That's pretty much it. It just heats up a bit quicker though.

Tak Nils, I'll take care when I start it... don't want a molotoff cocktail on my hands!

I assume you use Meths to start it as usual and not petrol?
And, could you run it on kerosine, or are jet sizes different?

Jet size is different, but the reason you can't run it on kerosene is because the vaporizer is to "simple" to work with the lesser volatile fuel.

Yes, meths is the right choice. Theoretically you could use petrol, but meths is much cleaner.
