Here are some of my other lamps. You aren’t seeing double, I like pairs. Please don’t ask me to light them. My AC couldn’t handle it. But they all have lit at one time or another. I heated my house up north in a power outage with 40 mph winds at 25 below F. It stayed at 65. The only house lit up as far as the eye could see. 12000 btu each lamp. Always looking but running out of room.
A wonderful line-up. I have never seen "coal oil" mentioned on one of these before. Funny how things go round as it was also called "shale oil" welcome on-board. Chris
Thanks for the welcome all. It helped living on the US/Canadien border. These lamps are still in use in hunting camps etc. My brother lived in the woods without electricity or running water. We dug a well and hauled 100 pound propane tanks. Coleman and Aladdin lights with propane refrigerator/freezer. Wood cook stove for heat. After he passed, his wife told me to take everything I could haul away. The Coleman’s and Aladdin’s came home with me along with the cast iron cookware and his Edison Amberola and phonograph. I smile every time I light one up. Lamps that is.
