    Quick Hello from a newbie =;

Just acquired 3 table lamps one T10 and two Tilley’s from a local sale room
to add to my small but growing collection

looking forward to some fettling hopefully not a lot wrong or bits missing and a good cleanup will see them running

No doubt I’ll be doing some research through some previously related posts on these lamps and may seek some advice

    Three pictured below collecting tomorrow

    Welcome aboard!
Those are fine fettling projects and that's a well lit wood shed.

The gallery on the Bialaddin looks to be in super condition and the others are ripe for restoration as well - nice finds and welcome!

I agree that the slotted T10 hood is in an exquisite good condition that you don't see much, so perhaps it has not had a lot of use.

Don't rush to clean and avoid anything aggressive. Just ask lots of questions after your research. A nice trio to start with.

    Welcome.

Was spoiled for choice at this sale the weekend gone
There was unusually quiet a few pressure lamps and stoves on offer
Pleased with what I picked up
I’ve been after a decent table lamp for quite some time
    Now I’ve three :D/

Very pleased with this one works great pleasant little lamp

Gamble without viewing certainty paid off for a change
    the small Optimus looks unused
And the larger Primus looks in remarkable condition for its age

They come in sets of three. Fit three new springs & pins and keep the two originals as spares.

I'll say! If I'm not mistaken the one on the right is a Condrup compact no. 1 outfit, pre 1925, a nice score on its own. The Optimus 8(I assume) and tinned Primus are gravy...not to mention the lamps (that T10- noice!)*

*actually no, it's rubbish and I'll take it off your hands for the price of postage....honest!

Got the two Tilleys running great the short stem is a fantastic little lamp working flawlessly :content:

The taller one requires gallery pin and spring I’ve ordered a set to replace should be here early next week
I have had it running using the gallery setup of the short stem TL130

Unfortunately the T10 isn’t as good as it looks gallery had been painted isn’t the original enamel
Also needs a replacement vaporiser if anyone could advise decent priced one that would be greatly received

regards to the stoves the Optimus R8 is in excellent order doesn’t even look to have been fired up
its tin box just needs a tidy or possibly a rub down and re-paint

Regards to the older Primus No8 this looks to be in fine shape for its age haven’t tried a burn yet hopefully soon
Could do with a flame shield original is a little shot any help on this would be appreciated

Vapourisers are available from Vapalux,& Bialaddin Lantern Spares
whether the price is decent depends on the view of the individual. Have you tried refurbishing the old one ?

Old vaporiser is in bad shape looks like someone has previously tried working on it
it’s slightly bent at the top unfortunately causing the gallery to lean over
the needle end is corroded away and there’s no spring present
The knurled brass sealing nut has been butchered to :content:
Thanks for the link @Henry Plews
Could do with some sp1 & sp2 Tilley service kits also
the replacements I purchased a while ago from a different retailer are thicker rubber ones and I’m not keen on them

Gallery pins and springs arrived today gave it a good prime fired up nicely
    Very pleased with these two

The Bialaddin T10 not so as yet the gallery wasn’t in the condition it looked
After cleaning off the paint job there’s quite a bit of enamel missing one good thing the metal work is fine just need a working vaporiser every thing else seems fine
