Apologies... I've been trying to sign up to the 'sister site' Camping stoves, but it won't let me, keeps telling me the 'captcha' isn't working... but there's no 'captcha' on the 'sign-up' page.

So at the risk of verbal flagellation I'm going to post here, -about my Coleman stove.
Here it is, (ain't it nice). Only model ID I can find is the letter 3 stamped near the Coleman logo on the fount.

I'd really like to get this thing going... (I'd actually use it in the workshop).
But when dear Anthony Benefactor palmed it off on me, a little nut was broken. It's the one that fits where I've circled. It's a compression nut is it? -The male thread there measures approx 9.45 dia.
It obviously screws on there to seal and stop the kero coming back out towards the 'regulator' knob.

Any idea what that nut/thread would be? I do have the old nut, but it's in 2 broken pieces - but maybe that'd help ID the thread/size.

    It’s a Coleman 500 gasoline (Shellite/Coleman fuel) stove.

    Cheers

I have moved your post to the Open Forum as it's not a lamp.

This is the registration page you should see. The CAPTCHA verification is a question with multiple correct answers. You should get the notification in red if you answer incorrectly.

If you're not seeing this please post a screenshot & I will investigate.

As @Tony Press has stated it is a Coleman 500 stove.
You are missing the packing nut and possibly the graphite packing.
You may be able to find these parts in your area but if you can't you can find what you need on oldcolemanparts in the USA

    Old Coleman Parts > Models 457 and Higher > 500 & 500A

    I hope this helps.

    Cheers,
    Norman

Regarding the probs getting on to the Stoves site...
There are NO Captcha questions when I try to sign up. Yet it says I haven't answered the captcha questions correctly. How can I?
No drama, I 'do' lamps mainly, so it's here I want to be, it's not as if I want lots of involvement on the stoves forum.
Anyway please don't worry about it.

Norman, that link is VERY useful, thanks so much. If I can get the packing nut I'm sure I can 'do' the graphite packing with what I have in stock.

I don't "know" but suspect that the nut will be the same as many coleman lanterns ?
