    Hi!
I got a Veritas P350 who is missing the jet and the tip is broken.
I found (here on the forum) that the pricker is 0.07 - mm(?). I have some fine acupuncture needles to try when i find a jet.
Where to find jets? Or how to maje them? It will be a challenge to drill the hole because i don't have any possibility to make so thin holes.
    Cheers,

isn't it more likely 0.007" or 7 thousandths of an inch? 0.18mm near enough.
There are guitar strings of this diameter but they are quite rare. The high G on a 12 string guitar might be this.

0.008" or 0.2mm are very common - usually fitted as Top E on a light electric guitar set.

As for drilling holes that fine it's very difficult.

The hole where the jet fits is2, 4mm (3/32). What other lamps use a so small tread on the jet?
    Cheers,

Austramax jets are virtually the same but they have a small 'shoulder' between the thread and the hex end that needs to be removed before you screw it in.

@ColinG thanks. I was thinking to make a sheet with different parts, similar to the glass sheets :content:

Someone replyed in a different thread on this topic that an Austramax jet might fit. The answer is no, not from a new Austramax as seen in the picture below.

@ColinG what model of Austramax are you referring to? Se the above post.
Thanks @tretrop for taking the time to test.
What AGM models could be involved in the parts used to this Veritas?
    Cheers,
    Francisc

Well, not that one, that's for sure! An Oz mate sent me some he'd already removed the 'shoulder' from and they work perfectly. To be honest, I relied on him sourcing the Austamax jets so I'm not sure what model they came from.

Here is a comparison between an original Veritas jet and an Austramax jet with the shoulder revmoved. It was done on a lathe.

Side by side comparison, notice the unthreaded section where the shoulder was removed.

The whole generator with the Astramax jet attached.

@AussiePete will hopefully be able to ID the exact model of Astramax the jet is made to fit.iePete

@ColinG that is not a Veritas P350 generator.
It may be a Veritas 350 or Superb but not a P350. Some say that it is a AGM generator and other parts. I don't have any AGM to verify that.

All Austramax nipples have the same jet and thread for screwing into the generator (2/300 —> 2/300).

The tooling for the nipple has changed over the years. Originally the nipple looked like a stove nipple, now it is a hex.

As I said elsewhere on CPL the thread for the nipple is UNF 10-32.

    Hi all
The Austramax jet, modified as shown by @ColinG, will fit the Veritas 350 and run very successfully. I have used a number of modified Austramax jet’s on the Veritas 350.
The P350 is a different animal, the Dutch army had the P350. The P350’s jet is physically smaller than the 350 and it’s designed to operate with petrol, not kerosene.
    I haven’t a P350 in my stable, I wish I did so I cannot comment on a replacement for the P350.
    @Carpedien1982
I see that you have a replacement. What is the replacement jet from?
    Keep them burning
    Pete

I forgot to name the lamp

It in the Coleman 200A lamp. Now need to find a longer generator, so the challenge continues. 1 piece found, one remaining.
    Cheers,

As i understand the situation, the P350 uses AGM parts fitted into a regular 350 lantern. It is designed to run on Coleman Fuel/naptha/Aspen etc. The jet you've found looks very similar to Coleman the old style of jets which makes sense as AGM used as lot of the same threads.

Please accept my apologies, I somehow didn't realise that you were asking about the P350 which is so different from the 350. You must have been confused by my reply!

@ColinG is not easy when they have the same name with a letter differens :content:
I searched the entire AGM, French, German and few other countries in the lamp references gallery to try to find a similar generator /vaporizer. It was until i opened the Coleman i gound something what was familiar, i didn't found nothing in the AGM section what could be similar.
Yesterday i realised what important is to put as many pictures and details in the reference gallery. You can't say that one picture is a reference.

    Cheers,
    Francisc

It’s good that you found something that fits .. I hope it will work well

Do you think you will be able to extend/ modify the needle/pricker from the 200a at all?

    regards

@podbros no, the rod from 200a is to short. But it is possible that a pricker/rod from a 639 to fit as well and that is longer than the Veritas pricker. Is easier to shorten than to extend :)
I don't know how much will affect the fact that the jet is 0.075" vs 0.07" on 200A.
    Cheers,
    Francisc
