Tilley Lamp X246B Latest Restoration

Tilley lamp X246B latest restoration. I had been looking for a lamp of this colour for quite some time but they always seemed harder to locate a nice one. After some time I found a donor lamp to prepare, spray and lacquer it. Now with all new seals etc. It runs and looks a treat.

 

It looks fine.

Thanks Firexit. Yes pleased with the colour. It was the nearest colour match I could find to the original Tilley copper colour. Thats my lot for a while ha ha. It takes some time trying to drop on to good parts too finish the lamp off after spraying.

Very nice cleanup! Did you have to replace the pump or was it salvageable?

 

Hi there Oaktree83. The pump is original polished up with new leather pump washer and washer from pump to seal against fount. Thank you for your kind words.
