    Hello

I have a prewar Petromax 523, though it is a mix of different lamps. The fueltank is from a prewar Petromax 826 and the hood is from a postwar lamp. But the frame, or cage, has the old and small/narrow aluminium nametag with 523 embossed into it. So it should be possible to have a complete prewar PX 523 if it shares parts (fueltank) with some of the Petromax lanterns from the same time perirod.

Since I haven´t been anble to find at useable foto on web, I have this question:

Is a prewar PX 523 fueltank embossed with Petromax 523 (like the prewar 826) or just Petromax.

In general, are there any of the large prewar Petromax fueltanks which are embossed with the model number, other than the PX 826.

    Kind regards Niels Chr.

Other members will probably have information for you, but there are 6 pages of Petromax lanterns shown in the gallery.

Thank you Jeff, I have already scrolled through all 6 pages. There are only 3 PX 523 reprecented, which actually surprises me a bit, PX 523 is not that
rare I think, but maybe it is

Don’t think it’s rare, just hard to find! At any rate you scored! The 523 is one I don’t have in my collection!
