    A recent cleanup. C stamp valve wheel puts this in the 1924 range. All the other features of the lantern are correct for this date as well.

    These LQ type lanterns with the Z burner were made by Coleman for other retailers and this from 1924 is likely Sears "King of the Knight" model 4600 as it was in Sears catalogues from 1920 to 1927. The same lantern was sold by W.M. Savage as their "White Lite" and in 1921/1922 by Montgomery Ward as their model 2288.

    As they were marketed by mail order companies in North America very few would have found their way beyond the US or Canada. ::Neil::
