I was given this lantern by my wife about 20 years ago as a birthday present when I had just bought my farm. It caused a lot of problems back then mostly due to my lack of knowledge about running them. I had several blocked generator tips from using petrol and no fuel filter funnel. Finally it got knocked over about 18 years ago and broke the glass. Well it got thrown heavily up on a shelf and forgotten about till now. I found the lantern with the original box, with a spare generator inside too!. The pump washer was no longer working and a replacement could not be obtained locally so I made one from leather and it works great. I bought a primus lpg frosted lantern glass (small) and this is the perfect size. I unblocked the generator, put a new mantle. I only had size 21 mantels so this would suffice and filled it with Shellite. She fired up great! I put the 226 next to a Bialladin 305 for comparison that I scored at a old wares shop yesterday. upload_2022-9-24_13-41-19.jpeg

@David Adair Well done on reviving the Coleman.

I have one and a 222, which I find stays bright longer after pumping than the 226 does. I examined the 226 fuelling in THIS post.

I ran the 226 tonight on a full tank and got almost 3 hours running. Not bad for such a little tank.

Mine likes a #21 mantle too.
