Hello. I just finished to fettle this lampe Belge. It took some years until I found all the parts I need. I like it.
Hi Juan, nice Lempereur & Bernard! Other than these lamps having been made in Belgium they are NOT called "lampe belge", this is a mistake that is very hard to get rid of. The "L&B" stands for Lempereur ET* Bernard, not for lampe et belge..... *ET is AND in french
Hi. Thank you, gentlemen. Wim: I guess that La Lampe Belge was a trade mark as is possible to read on the fuel cap. Isn't it? Juan
Hi Juan, thanks for posting that foto! It explains a lot. I have never seen the L&B stamping in combination with the text "La Lampe Belge", and I have seen quite a few of the L&B (and other) products. I think it is an advertising gimmick of sorts, claiming they are the makers of THE Belgian lamp (they were very probably the largest Belgian manufacturers of lamps!), a bit like SVEA claiming to be king of stoves... ( @Juan )
