Is there a size system for them? I can see different numbers on the ring, size 2 ,size 98 etc etc, if standard what are the dimensions on them?

As an example this is an inverted mantle size 2/179b with Ceramic Ring

We have a vintage caravan (1958) the gas lights in there are a size 2.
I believe they come in sizes 1,2 and 3.
1 being the smallest 3 the largest.

I know that on the German Hytta site there is a gas mantle page. If only I could find it....
It is a page with all the sizes on it.

Well, in my case finding a 98 cheramic foot, I know will not be easy.

But it got me thinking, cheramic 3D printing. Any one been doing something with that for a thing like this? I do have some 3D printed BD caps, but not seen any cheramic feet , or, anyone that have seen that?

3D printing, at home, is not that advanced that we can print metal or ceramic.
If you have the 3D STL file you can contact a profesional company and ask what it costs.
A complete out of the box solution: many dentist work with 3D printed teeth. So you may aks your dentist.

Way back I did some first steps with AutoCad and 3D modelling.
And even made a gas lamp.
    With gasmantle with ceramic ring.

3-D printing is a possibility. And it doesn't have to be ceramic.
A regular metal printing version from e.g. the services you mention would work for you just as well.

Or you could make a mantle holder yourself from a piece of brass.
It's not hard, but take some elbow grease if you don't have a lathe and milling machine.
But you can make wonders with just a pair of good files and the normal tools like a drill press etc.
