I purchased this lamp. I believe is is a number 6. It appears to be complete. I the near future I would like to go ahead and go through it and clean it up for lighting. I have heard a bicycle pump was used to pressurize the fount. Can anybody be more descriptive on the type of pump for this. Our pumps in the us do not match up. Also my Coleman pumps would. It work. Any info would be appreciated Sean
Congratulations, that is a fine complete french lamp. So you need a french bicycle pump but I guess you did know that. Over here in Europe you can buy a "french connection", attachment/conversion which screws onto the french valve or a pump hose with the right connection. Depending on the type of pump you have. I preferr the hose type.
French valves are also known as "Presta" valves in the UK and US and are commonly used on road bikes, so if you can find a local specialist bike shop they should have adaptors. Or look for "Presta valve adaptor" online.

I plan on tearing into it once I get a pump and test the fount for leaks. I run Coleman’s and a few others. Not sure of the start up procedure for the lamp. I assume it is not a quick light system and it has to be preheated. At work today so have not had the time to really dig into it very much so far
