Well the sun has been out all day so what better way to make the most of it than to smoke out all the neighbours who have their windows open . Testing the new gazebo I bought for our pressure lamp meets. Trying not to set it alight. Got the onions going on the Optimus 00, lit by the Tilley table lamp. The burgers and sausages cremating nicely well out of the way of the gazebo. If it gets chilly I could light a bowl fire but will probably just move inside .
Ahh Paul, too late sorry, it's all gone now. Everything is packed away, ended up with six lamps going. It looked like the apocalypse or something. A quick run down of what was there: TL 10 PL 53 AL 21 R 1 IL 33 FL 5 It doesn't take much encouragement to get me to light another lamp and then another and another and so on. . I sort of hope none of the neighbours saw but I think they probably did
I find that alcohol only makes this worse [/QUOTE] I gave up worrying about that years ago - I think a fair proportion of people living hereabouts think I'm completely nuts. Pfft - who gives a sh*t... BTW, I can see why you'd put that 284 globe on your TL10, but just be careful you don't knock it over, eh!
David, you are right. Alcohol does make things worse but can also make more interesting viewing for spectators. Personally I don't think we are the crazy ones, it's everyone else and don't worry about the globe, I take great care when using it or moving it. I must get a spare though just incase... I buy another lamp
Yeah, I bought half-a-dozen recently on eBay for an absolutely bargain price. The seller may still have some left but somehow, I doubt it. I needed three of them immediately but, as you say, you never know when you're going to feel the necessity for having a few more KL80s or IL47s in the collection...
