Hi there, i want to restore the primus 1020. I found part number on parts list. But i don't know actual pictures of parts 1. I want to know part 6128 2. I want to know part 6153 >> is this lead material? I also did disassembly this part but could not see part 6153
As Henry has said, part 6128 is the graphite packing. Primus did theirs by using a number of graphite washers. I usually just pack the gland nut with a strip of graphite wound around the shaft. When you tighten the nut, it compresses the graphite into shape. Part 6153 is lead but is rarely present. Because of the conical shape of the fitting, it makes a good seal without it.
Lead, as has been said, but if used a thread-locking paste is advisable to prevent the component unscrewing and breaking the seal.
thank you Hi Nils, i think you are correct. But i opened "boxfaste" part (6109) and heated up to remove "Kuggdrev" part (6125). I saw a little bit lead came out at part 6109. So, i think that have 6153 part as original from manufacturer, but it has been removed by someone before. furthermore, Because of the conical shape of the fitting, so, lead seal is easy to damage while is tighten
