Just got a model 3705 with decent fount and vent, missing the eccentric block, pricker rod for the genny. Good luck finding parts? I need to check out the pricker lever to make sure it is all there. The rest looks good, cleaned up the mica chimney last night.

Got the lantern to pass air thru the genny and won a rusty one on the bay, hoping it has needed parts. Need to add a pricker rod to the genny to take up space I guess so it will do a naked burn at least.

We have lift off, a naked burn, flame quit a few times, debris briefly plugging the genny? Not sure if that valve on the backside of the valve body functions properly or the orifice at the bottom of the valve that acts as part of the start up circuit is clear enough. Seems it would be clear.

    That's a good looking lantern.
The instant light valve mechanism is easy enough to clean, I used 0000 grade wire wool to polish the components on one that wasn't working well. It works now !

Thank you for the comments and fix for the air valve. I'll have to take it apart again and check the seat area. Tied on a 500 cp mantle and when pumped up does light up the whole thing. Have not needed to prick the genny tip, so the genny must be pretty clean, my substituting a short pricker rod is working as something to fill space in the genny.

Worked that air valve over a little, looked good to begin with, had no faith it would work, so decided to solder over the tiny piece on the bottom of the main valve assembly, next to the pickup tube. The pickup tube was lose again, so cleaned it a little and soldered it in, then topped the tiny hole in the air thing. Been running brightly for over 15 minutes now. Running ok without needing a pricker since that is missing key parts.

Thank you, did win a rusty parts lantern a few days ago, should be here after Christmas. Lantern ran great for an hour, even held pressure o/n. Need to buy some wax now and give the fount a shine.

Thank you. Working on getting (fettling) the parts lantern going now. You know how it is. :)
The parts lantern had parts I needed, now hoping to find the pricker assembly, vent nut and heat shield screw to have two complete lanterns.
