Hello all, only a quick post to show what I'm calling a 21c only because of the stamp on the collar. I'm hesitant as the reference section doesn't have a heading for such a number alongside the 300s etc etc. So a name/ number check would be good in the first instance if poss please. This has been on the shelf for months and I fettled it to life yesterday evening with pleasing results, however the hood and attached mantle is borrowed from my 1954 marked 305. Next question..... would either hood be used on a seventies lamp such as this? I have green 300x flat cap hoods in varying states of rust and missing enamel, I think the one that came with this particular lamp was pretty worn out. Anyway, she fired up lovely last night and I enjoyed the fettle. Thanks all. Sorry no detail pics but I will put some proper shots in the reference gallery once I am sure under which heading to place it. 1972 marked btw, shown with her 50's 305 counterpart and a civvie version.
It's actually an M1; for some reason the MOD lamps weren't stamped with the model number, whereas the civvie versions were. Both appear to have been supplied with green two piece hoods as standard ( there's a very rare variant of the civvie M1 with a blue two piece hood). It's worth mentioning that the pump top has been swapped for an older version at some point: the original would have had the flat topped cap. This one is actually correct for your 305 on the left, and vice versa.
@steerpike451 thanks, I had a feeling it may be an m1 or something so thanks for clearing up. Any Idea what the 21c means on the stamping? And I was the one who swapped the pumps over! Not sure why! Actually thought the flat top was an imposter so I suppose 8t may have been an attempt at authenticity. Again, thanks for the info. Best, Nick
