    Hi all,

A lucky bargain find at a Spanish auction house just arrived today. (In a makeshift cardboard box with no packing whatsoever!). Anyway, I’ve read the articles on here about the Phares Besnard (Peebee) lamps and seen the Nulite/Hasag/Summit debates. Hoping someone can help confirm what exactly I’ve found here and if there’s a way to know date of manufacture. I couldn’t resist a quick 0000/autosol rub on the hood and it looks like it will come up really nicely. The mica cage is in good shape and I’ll be able to replace the panels. I’m hoping the repro Nulite generator I’ve ordered from OCP is going to do the job!

On the original manufacturer debate, it is interesting to look at the Peebee and the Summit side by side!

As far as I know that is a rebadged Nulite from the 1920's.

That’s about all I’ve been able to find too, bar a bit of history on the Phare Besnard company evolution. It doesn’t look like they made/sold many of this type of lantern, just a single and double mantle. No model names or numbers that I can find. It may just have to go in the reference gallery under it’s manufacturer name.

Yes, they do appear to be scarce and in my opinion, it's a good restoration project.
