Finding a bit more time to be in the workshop this year and always have something running when I do. This 315 was my first full restoration, back when I believed the 3-1 paint tin when it claimed to be primer, paint and lacquer! It’s not held up too well!
The paint on the 315 looks a good match though.. perhaps a fuel proof lacquer may help although some darken slightly over lighter colours a lot of the silver paints look too metallic to me.. and trying to find a ‘flat’ silver/aluminium paint for a Tilley cage was fun as well the stove looks good too!
That’s how I’d redo it now. The colour was fine, it just needs that final lacquer protection. The stove has been hanging around too long. I bought the washers and subsequently put them somewhere safe! Need to hunt them down.
That can be a bind when things go on (as I know) but I have to say it looks ordered from here so they can’t be far
Ha, yes the areas in the image are fairly ordered. The workbench drawers and the shelving unit with my spares and ongoing projects are little less organised!
