    Hi everyone!. I have been working on a Aladdin A1 which was a lot of hassles to get going. It started out with a reline of the font with fuel tank paint as there were heaps of stress cracks. I then had to clean out the generator which was blocked solid, then replace the jet which I damaged (Thanks Frank) and later the pricker (Thanks Vic). I also replaced all the seals. I painted the font in epoxy paint which is close to the original colour. I managed to damage the pricker rod putting it all back together so the pricker does not clear the jet so performance is down a little but I will sort that out. I also sorted out a anchor no 999 350cp which I scored for $20. It needed a glass which I scabbed off a gas lantern , replaced the plunger and the valve pip and gave the font a clean out with acetone and a few nuts and bolts shaken inside to get the crud out. The anchor looks like the older type that were of better quality so I'm happy. It puts out heaps of light too and wasn't hard to get going. Here's a couple of pictures Thanks every one! Nice work.

    Do you need another pricker rod for the Aladdin? I’ve got a few Aladdin 1A and Radius 119 rods, but I would need to know the length of the original pricker rod to send you the correct one.

    Cheers

    Tony

    Hi Tony , I mucked around with it tonight and will need a new rod as too much broke off so here's the measurements. How much do you want with postage to NSW 2147. Thanks Dave IMG_1013.JPG ave

    @David Adair

    I’ll look through my spares today or tomorrow.

    Did your pricker rod have a small nut to be use for adjusting the length of the rod+pricker? The nut fits on the bottom thread of the rod.

    Hi Tony, Yes there was a small square nut at the bottom thread but I lost it. Thanks Dave

    @David Adair

    That is unfortunate. I will see if I have a nut to fit the pricker rod; or you may need to go to a hobby store. The alternative is thread lock, but that's a pain in the a@se because of the adjustement process.

    Cheers

    Tony

    Yes, I went thread lock on the old rod as there was only a few threads left to screw in that brass block. I may find the brass nut yet. Thanks Dave
