    Hi all,

When storing your lamps for months at a time, is it better to empty the tank, or leave some fuel inside to prevent rust/corrosion build up. I know liquid fuel will go stale after a period of time but as I'm no expert on these matters I'd appreciate your advice. I've seen what insects can do after nesting in some old lamps and saw another forum user here uses draw string bags for storage. Thank you in advance.

If I'm not using a lamp or its a shelf queen (for display only), I always empty my lamps.

I store them empty. Especially the ones with no shutoff valve. Left with the cap open, kerosene will evaporate and leave a nasty residue.
