Nice AGM 3470 military version lantern. I actually got lucky last week and got an actual AGM 3470-C (civilian) version on your lantern. It doesn’t have the chained fuel cap, doesn’t have the wrench inside the base of the burner assembly and it is stamped on the collar label AGM 3470-C. All great finds IMO.
Bit of a guess but AGM was bought by the Queen Stove Works in 1950 and I would expect to see their name on the collar label. So I would assume this dates from just post WW2 to 1950. ::Neil::
Be careful with that. I had a green one that didn't leak until I drove 120 miles with it in the box on the floor of my car. Upon arrival at home there were visible stress cracks where they were not several hours before. If the fount is steel I wouldn't worry but if it is brass keep your pressure low and be gentle.
