This is the lamp I recently asked advice about in this thread. Identify this lantern? It was almost completely painted with brown paint or something similar. I'm very pleased with how it's turned out
It makes me wonder why anyone would want to cover up such a beautiful lantern with crappy old paint, You have done a lovely job of putting it back to how it should be and working superbly, well done.
Thank you. Although my pictures don’t show it there is some slight pitting on the lantern, and a couple of very small spots where the brass is showing. I guess this might be why it was covered up but even so I much prefer it how it looks now.
That’s a Bobby dazzler Stuart ! .. too nice to be sat in an antique shop window .. looks very happy now though
