*Edit: Maker and model put in title after identifikation. I picked this lantern up today along with a Tilley D250 Paraffin fuel iron for a good price. Although the lantern was in an original Tilley x246 box I don't believe that this is correct. I cannot see any name or numbers on the lantern however it does have many similar features to my Anchor 999. I would appreciate if any members can confirm the make and model of this lantern. It does look well used but might be worth a bit of time to bring it back to working condition.
@Koala It's an Australian Aladdin 1A. Look through the Reference Gallery to find a similar variation. Check the tank for stress cracks. Cheers Tony
There are plenty of these around, and they are a good lantern, so if you did want to restore it the Aussie members here would help you out if you needed parts. Best regards Tony
Well apart from the globe and a control wheel it seems to be all there. Clean the top vent with soapy water and it will look good I reckon.Aladdin 1A - Black Body with Phoenix Aladdin Chimney
It is obvious that somebody has pulled this lantern apart and it does need a fair bit of TLC to get it operating again. Yes it does need a globe and a control wheel but it also has a broken control wheel shaft and the flame spreader is missing. Who know what else I will find when I pull it apart.
