Fascinating. I have never seen a Petromax where the alcohol container is integrated into the lamp. Can you upload a picture where it was taken out. Or is it soldered to the font. Thanks in advance. Tom
@Tom, The "spiritus" pump is integrated into the tank. Like the normal air pump tube. The challenge is to find a complete lamp. Looks like our new friend manage just that. The lamp would look even more better when the pressure gauge is turned so the text is not upside down ;-)

Impossible to say unless tested. You may have an idea by looking at it, but its only that until you get confirmation.
Dear Kazuyuki, the asbestos plate is meant to improve the heat shield and serves as a base for solid fuel (e. g. Hexamine fuel tablets), which can also be used for preheating. Regards, Martin
