Coleman L227 (Canada; 12 31)

    This Canadian Coleman L227 belongs to another Hobart collector, @Mickoztas. It carries a manufacture date that is the earliest found so far (I think) for these Canadian L227s -- December 1931. The other one I know of that carries that date stamp is also in Tasmania.

    It seems Australia is a good place to find these lanterns.

    @Tony Press It's curious that this lantern of 1931 has that type of pump, whereas the first 242 lanterns of 1933 have an entirely different pump, and filler cap.
