Thank god for super niche forums still existing. Hopefully someone can help out. The wick adjust arm on my Aladdin Model 37 heater is super stuff, not exactly seized. It also appears the previous owners broke the plastic knob. Is it possible it's over tightened? It does move fairly smoothly if I get a pair of pliers on the arm and the wick carrier moves freely with no rust of corrosion, so I know it's the adjustment arm. Just wondering if anyone has any advice or has fixed something similar. Is it possible to remove the adjust arm entirely? It's a tight space in there so I'm hesitant to attempt it.
Is this with the wick wet or dry? If it is dry then often fueling the heater and letting it sit for a while can loosen the wick. Here is a list of part numbers and compatible models. I suspect you would be able to track down parts.
Thanks for the reply! The wick is dry but not the issue, the wick and wick carrier all move freely without issue by hand and even when completely removed the adjustment knob/arm is super stuff just by itself. I will look into parts.
