Hello, I will be buying 2 lamps from India - the first is a Petromax 200 CP (looks like an 834) but it is a different shape, the fuel pipe from the tank is from the bottom... Posted here. The second lamp has no markings - can anyone identify the manufacturer/type? Thanks a lot!
Other than your lamp not having a cleaning needle control, it looks very similar to this Petromax 794D with copper basin
In which case, your guess is as good as mine. After spending a lot of time looking at images of this type of lamp in The Lamp Reference Gallery, I'd say your lamp is a Petromax but I have no idea of the model number.
@Henry Plews , I doubt that, until now all hanging donut type lamps made by E&G has the embossed Petromax on the main body, E&G on the main cast steel base plate inside and petromax embossed on the top hat. All the part would be marked too. We all know that people in the far east are masters in repairing and making things up as well as mixing all kind of parts together for the wealthy foreign buyers.
Fair comment @WimVe , I guess we'll have to wait until @Dan Bittner disassembles the lamp and see if there are any clues to its identity.
