Hi All, This my first post here. From backpaking and titanium stoves I somehow got into pressure lanterns. I spent many hours on this forum researching and learning. I feel in debt to everybody for all the info available here. I might have something interesting to share here. This is HASAG 34 SP lantern. OK, these are just remains of it, but I have not noted any info regarding Spiritus version of 34 lantern. It looked itriguing when I bought it just out of curiosity, but now I am not sure what to do about it next. This one has broken needle and missing the whole upper part. There is a HASAG 34SP visible on the frame, tank is made of brass, nozzle has „100” and „S”. I would appreciate if anybody could share some info which parts (old and new) may fit this lantern. Will parts from Petromax 150HK help? Any guess regarding age of that lantern or some interesting historical info? Thanks a lot.
Hello @Piotrek I just checked with my Hasag 34, and a modern inner chimney from a Petromax 150HK will fit. The needle and the jet orifice for lamps/lanterns fueled by meths/spirit (spiritus) are larger than for those fueled by paraffin/kerosene to achieve stoichiometric mixture. You could try a 250HK needle (0.18 mm diameter), which should fit almost perfectly. Your problem will be the hood, it will be almost impossible to get one as they often get (got) lost. Good luck with this pretty little lantern! Your specimen should be from sometime in the 1930s, but a more narrow dating will be difficult.

@Martin K. - does it mean that the whole upper part of PX 150 should fit this lantern? What about the glass? I have several other quite interesting (at least for me) wrecks to restore in the pipeline, so maybe I will trade this for some parts, or it will just wait for a proper parts donor.
@Piotrek Yes, the whole upper part of PX 150 should fit, although it is/looks different than the original. A common glass H 106 mm x Ø 89mm for 100-150 HK lanterns should fit as well. If you'd like to trade this little lantern please PM me.
It will not be looking any better, so here it is -lamp with Petromax150 top, glass and handle made of bicycle spokes (patent pending) Small German lantern next to the big Soviet stove of similar age. Piotrek
