    Nice 1010 I owned for many years. This weekend I bring it to life again.

    That looks like a good workhorse.

    It looks like there aren't any air tubes. Is that correct? I would have expected that to affect the air/fuel ratio.

    What type of mantle/heater element are you using?

    You are right, Nils. I would have expected the same but I decided to do a try and it works fine; only the start is a problem because it doesn't run fine until the pre heating flame is completely extingished.

    The mantle? I made it from an iron mesh. I have to improve it; it's too rudimentary but it works.
