Today I acquired a 117A lamp and air comes out of the fount, sputters fuel. doesn't light. I was able to disassemble it to this point. How do I remove the fuel pickup tube? Does it just pop out?

@bluepen61 I use two flat blade screw drivers in the top slot of the F/A tube working then back n forth. Yes it will pop up.

Thank you Toby for responding! Late today I tried exactly that after letting it soak in some rust loosener for awhile... yes, I know, it's brass. But it dissolved the varnish and crude to an extent which allowed it to be removed. I learned a lot.

I didn't realize this post was in a reference gallery and feel sad/bad that I didn't just post it new elsewhere. I don't navigate this forum much.

These 117A lamps are remarkable and challenging. Thanks again!!
