This lamp looks a beast not the pretty kinda lamp. It didn't do anything for me but since fettling it and running it's kinda grown on me now. It came to me for fettling and tho a bit of a puzzle to dismantle and hell to remove the pricker wire and generator it was fairly straight forward no surprises from someone else's mistakes. Now from what I have managed to find out its a windhorst primo ? Running here on petrol but I hope to have a correct mantle next week. Any idea on age anyone or info one these lamps? Now it's a big lamp 26 inches tall and 13inches wide at the generator level The tank must be 9inch diameter Any info ? Cheers pete
Hi Pete, Nice catch! More then ten years ago I was searching for info of a Windhorst table lamp I got. From the Missouri Museum Library I got photocopies sent of two 1911 Windhorst & Company, Primo Arc lamp catalogues. Maybe your lamp is the "Primo Handy Beacon lamp! /Conny
Thankyou Conny it certainly looks like it It is a good bright lamp so may well do the 750cp with a proper mantle on Afraid I only get to fix it then it must return to its owner for safe keeping. Thanks pete
Hi Wim It's like a manual nrv open it to let pressure in or out close it it keep pressure in the font. Yes I got this one linked now Jeff Cheers pete
Another Cool industrial looking lamp! As a fan of Odd Ball lamps, Great to see another of these wonderful rare birds! Creative people came up with many solutions for light around the turn of the 20th century, An explosion of ideas from the industrial revolution. Well done Pete, you've preserved it.
@pete sav, Congratulations for you and the owner. This old lamp and beautiful. Thank you for sharing and bright action. Regards, Titoo.
