I have an Optimus model 930 pressure lamp that I am fettling. I need the aluminum washer seal (Optimus Part No. 2755. Also in need of an original handle. I have the lead washers but according to the parts diagram there is also an aluminum washer that fits with one of the lead washers to fasten the lower vapouriser section to the tank. Suggestions?

    Kind regards,
    Terry

You might try a copper crush washer in there perhaps with a dab of sealer. ::Neil::

Just back from holidays and catching up on the forum. I have never heard of an aluminium washer on an Optimus 930. The parts lists I have looked at don't mention a part 2755 either. Where do you have this number from? All you need between the lower vapouriser and the tank is a lead washer.

Thanks for that. That is the parts list for the final variation of the 930 (ca. 1980s) which I don't have. All parts lists prior to this one did not have the aluminium washer. You can see an example of the previous parts list here. It uses the newer part numbers whereas the earlier parts lists used number 90n for the lead washer.

I have no idea why Optimus would decide to add an aluminium washer into the design and can't say that I have ever noticed one when fettling 930s. Maybe I haven't done a new enough one yet.
