Hi folks Having read Tony’s post here: Coleman 295 "Powerhouse" lantern (07/02) I thought I might take my 295 with me on a forthcoming camping trip in August. upon pressurising the lantern fuel leaks from underneath the collar. I suspect the Schrader valve to be the culprit and wondered what class of valve would be required and where they can be purchased in the UK. I plan to give the lantern a complete strip-down and would like to change this whilst disassembled even if it is not the issue. Many thanks, Jeremy @Tony Press
Hello Jeremy @X246A Hope you get your lamp sorted in time and have a great camping trip. The weather should be good by then. James
Be sure your replacement schrader valve is rated for fuel. Many are not and the seals will not survive long.
The ones I sent are for air-conditioning systems and have served well over two years. But your words are wise, my first ones from the local auto store dissoved...
@X246A It's not very often a Schrader valve gives up on these lanterns ,in my limited experience . I'm guessing you have checked the gland packing nut for tightness ? If your replacement Schrader valves dont do the trick I do have some new old stock fuel pick up and control valves for sale if you should need any replacement parts . Marten
