    Hello dear fellow lampers,

apologies for the radio silence over the last months. I struggled with long Covid, vertigo and other issues.

Recently picked up this lamp from a local antiques shop. Not sure if IL33 or IL34? Doughnut tank is 12 inch diameter and reflector is slightly smaller than that. Sadly no burner gallery with it, but given I’ve paid peanuts for it I’m not complaining. I suspect it will be difficult to find an original replacement on eBay. Can I use anything else to fettle it. The original had a long hood which I suppose, stopped the donut and fuel inside it getting too hot. Later galleries. Do not have the conical hood. Many thanks for any advice and speak soon!

Looks like a IL33 most likely you could always use a table lamp gallery and a 182 glass to make it a functioning lamp again
    Cheers pete

Thanks Jeff. We’ll have to find a burner and gallery for it then!

Great find, and still with its crinkle heat deflector, the raised lettering filler cap and NX type fuel cock, nice nice nice.
Any table lamp gallery will do, but a pre war internal spring type would be nice esp with a 1930's long type burner.
If you wanted an original look, how about a reproduction AL9 hood with the cowling chopped off and a repro teardrop glass?

Ah thanks James. I’ll look up the AL9 then. I’m not in a rush to restore it so I’ll take my time to try and find a suitable gallery and globe for the original look. Then I’ll have a working OL50 and a working lL33!
