    Hello,

A guy is selling some propane lanterns. Some of those are Argentine Petrosol (see the pics attached). My question is... Is it possible for the buyer to use those propane lanterns with a more modern propane cylinder? I mean, what should I take into account before purchasing? The valve diameter for instance. The cylinders are too rusty and I think using moderns may be easier and safer. I suppose it is easy to unscrew the lantern with a money wrench..

Hi Adolfo. I have no experience of these but I can see many gas bottle adaptors for sale on Ebay. Or if you can identify the threads used you can get one made.

    You should ask the seller.
Tanks should be detachable since you also have to fill them. It also will save on shipping costs.

Can’t see why. Reference Gallery stuff maybe, but a question on getting something to work? You could report the post and leave it to a moderator to decide.

    Thank you all!

I'll read more about those adaptors. It would be great to light those appliances again!!
