This pair Of Bialaddin Lamps came my way the other day. They had been in a nice second hand shop for a long time. The old owner had priced them in the Hundreds of pound range. So the didn't sell. The new owner knew they were not going to sell, so we came to a deal. They have had a long life and very little care. I gave them a good look over and worked out they needed a good service. Odd. A lump of hacked rubber. No surprize the pump didn't work. The cotton bud shows the amount of dirt in the pump body. Spares duly ordered, for the lamps a Aladdin lamp and some T10 heaters. Oooooopps. It didn't do that on the pre strip test. This lamp turned into a pain. The pre strip showed a few leaks, as expected. But it did work. I stripped it down again, rebuilt it and found nothing wrong. Both working, burning bright and leak free.
Good work but I notice the raised pump plunger on the right hand lamp. As there is no sign of paraffin on the workbench; I assume this is an oversight.
