Tropic Special

I managed to score a Tropic Special last month and clocked up an impressive run time of fifty six hours, not continuous, but over a few days. The next time I run the lamp, I'll see how long it will run for without adjusting the wick.

Nice lamp, never seen that brand with the larger tank before....

 

I have seen them come up on eBay before, but usually for silly money and in much poorer condition.

Mmmm the postage is double the price of the lamp.....

 

I managed to get a bit of a deal on that and the lamp plus shipping came to less than a third of what I've see the lamp on its own go for, mind you I am a bit of a lampoholic when it comes to the Chalwyn lamps.
