Hello all, we went on another road trip this time just a short one, about 300 km return. Oops looks like I have done it again, it seems I came home with some more lamps. A good mixture all in all and 2 Tilley TL10 table lamps, one is an early 1930's and a Tilley R1 radiator with no date stamp, these will stay in original condition, just a fettle and a mild clean only. The later Tilley TL10 came with a shade as well as a globe, I believe its original shade too, but happy to be corrected. We will respray the Tilley TL136 and give her a full polish in due time. I also got 2 Coleman table lamps incomplete, for next to nothing who could say no, one is a CQ and the other I have no idea as I'm not a Coleman man, any help in identifying this lamp would be much appreciated. So here are some photos Look what they have done to this Coleman CQ Table lamp SACRILEGE. Lucky I brought it for spares parts, as you will see from the photos they have turned it into an electric light blob, yes blob. Here are some photos of the other Coleman to look at. Thanks.
So, how do you do it @Buggerlugs? Do you just travel around chapping on doors or do you have the promise of the lamps before you go? Or a bit of both?
Thanks for all the comments much appreciated. Does anyone know what model the Coleman Is? @Jean J As you said a bit of both thanks.
Thanks @Mackburner Some Coleman lamps are very hard to identify for me, even after looking in the Reference Gallery.
It can be hard to tell sometimes but with this the date and having period catalogues pretty well nails it. This is from a 1936 Catalogue. ::Neil::
