Placed a cheeky bid on these two tired looking lanterns and came up trumps
    Bialaddin 300x chrome & Vapalux M1

Haven’t got down to dating the pair as yet only just picked them up if anyone could assist off these initial photos that would be great ?

Having never owned these particular models I’m not sure if the hoods have been swapped around the were purchased a one lot together

Couldn’t but a quick clean up and they fire up nicely

Few seals need replacing from initial inspection but there holding pressure and don’t require any major parts

Will give them a complete strip down and a session in the ultrasonic cleaner both lanterns have been well used luckily not abused

Will get some better photos once I’ve tidied the up a little more
May paint the M1 tank definitely looks q little tired

Date wise, 300X '50 to '52 the M1 say '70 to '78- they're hard to narrow down further. Hoods: '50's green and '70's green are noticeably different- yours are the right way round.
    Nice score.

Spent a Few hours fettling today
parts spent a good timely session in the ultrasonic cleaner came up a treat

The Chrome Bialaddin 300x came up better than expected couple of seals changed the spring was missing off the vaporiser cleaning wire so that was replaced
Replaced the gauze in the spirit cup with some fire rope and a copper band

The Vapalux M1 tank was looking a little shabby so decided to get the rattle can out
Other than the spirit cup leaking slightly through the gauze tube all good will have to search out a replacement at some point
