    Hi All
I’m way out of my comfort zone with this, picked it up this morning. I think it’s a 200…?
Love the shape, checked it over, fresh paraffin and an anchor mantle, all I had got.
I’ve not even cleaned it, but it been running now for an hour, really bright.
    Any idea of age?
    Cheers
    Gary

It would be good to see a few more detail pictures. That would help to make a better estimate.

From what I can see, it looks like it could be a bit of a mixture. Most of it looks like it's from the mid 1930s but the control wheel is 40s or later. The pump is not what you would expect either. It should be the typical Optimus lock down type.

Thanks for the extra photos. They confirm my estimate. All the parts look correct for a mid to late 1930s variation apart from the control wheel and the pump. The wheel looks like the type used on the variation just after this one (about first half of 40s) and the pump was used on a lot of other Optimus stuff, but not the lanterns. Both parts show the same sort of patina, so they have been there a long time. All in all, that should clean up ok and as you have shown, work well.
