A box. A box of things. The things............. In no order that how I got them out. Plus this motley bundle. Oh I found this in a scrap yard.
It may be possible to save the tank, but if not then the rest of the parts will be useful through time and that lantern glass is not cheap if you have to buy it new, happy fettling.
There is nowt wrong with the tank. The mantles are shot, but I have spares. The pump washer is shot, but a temp fixed got the lantern working.
EEEEEEEKIE, dirty and the Bloody big spider ran away. She was very fast. OE spares. Nice new mantles, pre burn. Fantastic bright white light.
The Valor Minor. Needed very little to get it working. The tank was flushed out, wick was OK, but I had a spare.
Bum. This is not good. Oh look, a container of 2 pack tank sealer. With just enough to work. New wick. First flame. Filled with lamp oil with a bug repellant in. A Flame mate.
This British made WW2 table lamp was also included. These were made on the 100's and shipped to Russia in the war. It is all but scrap. So I rebuilt it. This was the first job. Bit of paint. In the sun it was soon dry. New wick.
They did indeed, they were fun to do. I have more, so much more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The history of the small table lamp was fantastic to find out. In the end, we only sent of the wick holder and gears. We sent flat sheet, solder and a oak mold in the end. That saved more space on the cargo ships.
