Vapalux fuel tank leak

    I bought a Vapalux lamp on e.Bay after pumping it up the base of the tank split my friend who lives in another part of the country brazed it for me but it still has pinhole leaks the base looks thin, is there any thing i can do. the rest of the lamp is in
    good condition it is a 300 X model.
    I know how to light these lamps,so I have not over
    pumped It.

    Probably easiest just to swop the tank for a better one - there must be gazillions of these knocking about...

    I'm with David on swapping the tank.

    I managed to seal a tank with pinholes in the base last year but it soon developed stress cracks above the sealant line.

    thanks for your help I have been looking for another tank for a while now but with no look so far.I have been given a tilley x246a but i am not sure what washers to buy.What is the nipple on the tank for is it pressure release,I would like a history of this model,always greatfull for your help

    The nipple on the tank is a pressure indicator.

    Check out the Fettle Box for Tilley washers.

    I might have a vapalux tank lurking about the garage. I have also got seal kits for both lamps if required. Your welcome to bring your lamp round if you need any help as your not far from me.
