    I found this on my latest road trip
    It’s a hollow wire, Nagel Chase, I don’t know much about them but I have a fella giving me some sound advice and direction,
    Thought I’d share what I have, it’s very cool,

    That's a dandy. I have a Model 3 lamp with the same burner and generator design.

    Hi there, it has taken me a while. I do have it going. I made my own fuel pressure tank from a Coleman lantern, I modified the generator braised the hollow wire line, I made a replacement pricker, I don’t have a globe for it, they are a bit rare in my neck of the woods, I keep looking, I will hook it back up together and tackle a few pictures , I’ve attached a few pictures of a wizard hollow wire I’ve also restored, I also made replacement pricker and a globe I made myself. 70945564285__C49C8A45-3ACC-4D05-A24B-1FA7F7F8C22C.jpeg IMG_1042.jpeg IMG_0963.jpeg IMG_0968.jpeg IMG_0964.jpeg IMG_0965.jpeg IMG_0972.jpeg

    When you say you “modified the generator?”, what did you do?

    @Tony Press , hi there, I modified the generator on the Coleman lantern, I cut it down then I used a smaller diameter brass tube that fitted inside the original generator, then I fitted the hollow wire to the smaller piece, I silver soldered it together, image.jpg image.jpg

    @Nagel . Hi there, I’ve got my hollow wire Nagel case going, it’s a great lantern when it’s fired up. I’m looking for a globe or I’m going to make one with mica. Either way it’s very coo, hope you like the light up IMG_1727.jpeg IMG_1728.jpeg

    It may look like this one I got with my wizard hollow wire but I haven’t tried it, the globes do look so similar but they have suttle differences. Top lip may differ in lip size, the glass thickness can vary. My globe is so rare in my neck of the woods I don’t use it. I did make a mica globe for my wizard. It dose the job, I could try it out next time I get to light it up image.jpg

    That's the correct style of glass for the lamp:

    Thank you for the heads ups and the advert, I always keep and eye out for that lucky encounter. I have 3 hollow wire lamps
    A Gloria , A Nagel Chase, and an Australian wizard. I plan to get them into part of my outside man cave in the distant future. I’m going to get the Gloria to go next.

    That is a very nice original globe and can well understand your reluctance to use it. Must be one of the very few in existence.

    @Nagel , I think the globe to suit would have been very similar. I have the same hollow wire lamps in my storage room I will see if my globe will fit, hold my beer I’ll be back when I get to get it out and take some pictures for reference

    The globe is smaller. @Nagel The fuel line and general Diameter show that a much larger globe was use and certainly more length to cover the burner assembly. I hope my pictures help IMG_1830.jpeg IMG_1831.jpeg IMG_1832.jpeg IMG_1833.jpeg IMG_1834.jpeg

    @Nagel

    Your two burner lamp you've posted above would be configured as a Nagel Chase "Dreadnought" (but let's not hijack this thread).

    Thanks Tony, I guess I oversteped. Got overly excited to talk to someone who knows about Nagel-Chase stuff. Sorry Darryl really nice job getting your Lamp going.
