Hi, i'm new to this forum and hope to get some help in getting this old Primus 930 in functioning condition. I got it from my father who bought it some time in the 70s. I can get pressure in it and the filler cap seal is intact with no cracks and don't seem dried out. My question is how do i find out if its safe to use and if i need to get a "service kit"?

I've got the blueprint and manual but i don't want to fixit if it ani't broken. Is there any risk in firing it up when it haven't been used in a few decades?
I would completely dismantle the lantern and clean everything and renew all of the seals, there is a non return valve/NRV in the bottom of the pump tube which unscrews and comes apart, there is a seal/pip inside of it which will need to be replaced and do be careful with the spring as they tend to fly off and a new seal/washer should fitted just under the screw head. It's best to fit a new jet and pricker and give the tank a good clean out. There are many Swedish members of this forum and perhaps some of those members live in your area and there is plenty of advice on this forum. Happy fettling.
Thanks a lot! I will start that procedure then. Yesterday I found out the hard way that the nozzle is ceramic, as it broke when I tried to get it off. But I’ll just ad it to the list of things to buy
