I bought this Hipolito last week. It was cheap , the man his father who passed away used it to go out fishing. i only paid 15 € so ok.. All the parts were clogged with dirt and old fuel. Some of them was easy to clean and other were a bit harder. The exuburator lower part was so clooged I could not get the dirt out...after some thinking I warmed it up carefull with my gas burner..poof poof and the dirt released ..After all this I let the parts soak in DASTY soap for about 2 hours. Once cleaned in and out all the parts were ok. The top rubber to close the rapid start was worned out..hmmm i did not had another one in stock and it was a holiday the day after so order it would take a few days. I have several sorts of rubber mats so I made one myself. It works fine. Diameter was 4mm and I was able to gentle push that rubber in the copper hole that were I drilled out the old rubber. Drilled without a machine but just use the drill with my hand because it is a very small part and I would not damage that. I had all the time in the world so why not... The lamp itself or the tank was a bit shiny but the chrome was damaged..I decided to sand it very well ( to the copper layer underneath) and give it a olive green color... 3 layers and after that 3 layers of varnisch. The oter sanded chrome parts a fire resistant ( 800°c) black coat. That work really well and does not burn away. The lamp is looking good in my opinion this way and works really well now. Restoring ( if I may call it that this way) such a lamp is always a nice job and I am happy to have this one..
